Welcome to ProfiPair, a platform for skill exchange where time and talent are the currency. By using ProfiPair, you agree to the following terms designed to protect our community and ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment.
Important Notice:
ProfiPair is strictly a professional skill exchange platform. This is not a dating app or a platform for finding romantic relationships. If you are looking for dating or romantic connections, please use dedicated dating platforms instead. Any attempts to use ProfiPair for dating or romantic purposes may result in account suspension.
Security & Safety First
Your safety matters. While all current exchanges are remote, we are actively building systems to support in-person swaps safely. Until then:
- Do not share personal contact information (address, phone number) publicly.
- Use in-app messaging to connect, and keep initial conversations on-platform.
- Report suspicious behavior immediately via our moderation system or support email.
- SkillPoints and verified profiles help build trust — aim to keep your reputation clean and honest.
We reserve the right to restrict or ban users engaging in:
- Harassment, stalking, or inappropriate messaging.
- Any form of discrimination or hate speech.
- Attempting to scam or manipulate the skill exchange process.
Code of Conduct
- Respect all users. ProfiPair is a global, inclusive space.
- Only offer or request skills you are legally allowed to provide.
- Don't ghost — if you agree to a trade, show up and follow through.
Skill Exchange Policy
- All trades are voluntary and non-monetary.
- Final agreements are up to users.
- You may mark a trade as complete only when both sides confirm it.
Your Account
- You must be 18+ to use ProfiPair.
- You agree to keep your account secure and not share it.
- Google Sign-In is required for now; more options may be added in the future.
Content & Listings
You are responsible for your listings. That includes:
- Being truthful about your skills.
- Avoiding inappropriate or misleading descriptions.
- Not violating copyright, trademarks, or others' rights.
Liability & Disclaimer
- ProfiPair is a connector, not a guarantor. We're not liable for incomplete swaps or disputes between users.
- All users are expected to use common sense and discretion.
- In the event of a legal issue or proven misconduct, ProfiPair will cooperate with law enforcement and relevant authorities by providing available evidence from our platform. This includes:
- Complete in-app message history between users
- User profile information and account history
- Detailed account activity logs
- All skill exchange records and confirmations
- For safety and security purposes, ProfiPair maintains a complete record of all user activities, messages, and account information. Users cannot delete their messages or account history. This policy exists to ensure platform safety and assist in any potential investigations.
Banned Activities
You may not use ProfiPair for:
- Criminal activity of any kind.
- Promotion of violence, fraud, or harm.
- Unsolicited advertising or self-promotion outside listings.
Moderation & Enforcement
- ProfiPair is moderated by volunteers and admins.
- Repeat or severe violations may result in a permanent ban.
- We reserve the right to remove listings or users that threaten platform integrity.
Future In-Person Exchanges
We are actively working on:
- Identity verification tools.
- Meeting location suggestions (public spaces only).
- Emergency contact features for added safety.
Until those are live, all exchanges must remain remote.
